Can a Culvert be Designed to Flow Directly into Another Culvert

Aileen Gleeson
I am working on a Process Water Dam, that has 3 inlet piped culverts that flow directly into a contained boiler box (modeled as a large box culvert), from the boiler box there is 7 smaller box culverts that flow into the main dam channel.

Hec-ras is not allowing me to have zero distance from the cross section to the start of the culvert, therefore my model is not correctly represented as each culvert should be connected with no space in between.

Am I doing this correctly or is there another way to build in a contained concrete storage area.

Also the inflow pipes I need all the flow to push through them to correctly represent the velocities in the pipes.

Please Help
